6 months later

Ok... so apparently soon meant 6 months later

Production has slowed to a crawl due to everyone (including myself) having hectic schedules

yet the Raoul and I experiment continues to evolve

we talk briefly on the phone

facebook comments and exchanges have increased exponentially

there have been some meaningful exchanges... which means alot to me

there was a mini family Pantin reunion over Christmas where i was able to talk to my cousins about being a child of these incredibly creative, intelligent ... yet difficult Pantin men (yes ah sayin it)

we laughed, we talked we went to Tobago.. much love

hopefully production will resume soon there is soooo much to say

my dad has stopped smoking cigarettes as his latest quit everything and be healthy and seems to be in higher spirits  than ever

he has more bad mind than me yes... in a good way

8)

will keep you posted much sooner than a six month break

Oh and WASA came back to dig on the last shoot we had ... full circle
July 31st 2013

Almost 2 years since I started this project.

Am yet to have funders but as a social project ... it has had an effect.

Now my father feels free to call me to carry him to events, take him shopping (twice) and wishes me happy birthday, what a strange feeling, which I do reciprocate on his birthday and on Father's Day.

We haven't yet ironed out everything, the awkwardness is still there and social media is our new interaction space.

However what has been the strangest thing really, is seeing myself in him, talk about a reality check!!!!

Thank you to Robert McFarlane and Dion Boucaud for giving me the ability to continue filming this project ...

More soon ...

I have completed first gruelling 3 hour interview with my father which no doubt will have to be repeated. The interview was interesting, touched some key points but as we develop the concept no doubt will have to revisit some of the interview questions.

Much thanks to Eniola Adelekan for working in circumstances that were not perfect and to my father for sweating through the 5 hours it took to capture 3
